Abbreviating business names
If a business uses abbreviations in its name, use the abbreviated form if dictated.
For example, IBM is rarely referred to by its full name, International Business Machines and it is unlikely that the full name would be dictated. In such cases, do not expand the acronym or abbreviated form.
Use the abbreviated form or acronym as preferred by the business. Usually, this is all caps and without periods; however, in some instances a business name is a mixture of caps and lowercase within one word, such as eBay. In all instances, use the preferred spelling/abbreviated form/upper and lower case mix preferred by the company or organization.
