Forming plural academic titles
When an academic title, such as doctor, is used in plural form, list the names separately. Do not form a plural of the academic title.
D: The patient is being referred to the office of doctors Smith and Jones for evaluation.
T: The patient is being referred to the office of Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones for evaluation.
NOT:
T: The patient is being referred to the office of Drs. Smith and Jones for evaluation.
D: Dear doctors Smith and Jones
T: Dear Dr. Smith and Dr. Jones
NOT:
T: Dear Drs. Smith and Jones
NOT:
T: Dear Dr. Smith and Jones
