Time and Time Zones
When writing out time zones, capitalize only the words that are always capitalized (typically, proper nouns).
Eastern standard time
Pacific daylight time
Daylight time is also known as daylight-saving time. Either is correct, but in reference to time zones, daylight time is the correct term.
Use the abbreviation (acronym) when it is used with a clock reading. The acronym is all caps with no periods. Do not use commas before or after the abbreviation.
The webinar will take place at 1 p.m. EST or 10 a.m. PST.
If the event is physically taking place at a location, the time the event occurs in the location time zone is the time given.
If the event is a telephone conference or webinar or any other "virtual" event, the time should be given for all time zones. This makes it easier for participants to make note of the correct time for the event.
